The Retreat at Balcones Springs

Early Summer

The Vision

Annabelle and Brian’s wedding was a blend of nostalgia and natural modern elegance. The Retreat at Balcones Springs is Annabelle’s family-run summer camp, a location rich with cherished memories. Every detail reflected Annabelle and Brian’s thoughtful, artistic spirit.

Annabelle said “Brian and I are playful, fun, and not serious. We’re not traditional, and we wanted our wedding to reflect that – relaxed, happy and campy, yet still beautiful.” The atmosphere felt as much like a high-end fashion dinner as a wedding, and one of the main highlights was an all-night tintype photobooth by Lumiere Studio.

The Reception

Dinner was held in a meadow, where tables were adorned with hundreds of arrangements of Texas-grown flowers, with beautiful delphinium and bearded iris. The napkins were embroidered with each guest's name. The serpentine tables wove across the field, and at each place setting was a bottle of wine. Every vase was vintage, and each and every floral arrangement was unique.

A Word From the Couple

“Serracinna was the first vendor I booked even before I was engaged! I always knew I wanted to use them, and I didn't reach out to any other florists. I loved and felt connected with Leah, and she understood my vibe! I've followed her for years and love how they incorporate the natural environment into the design.”
