As the in-house floral partner for The Austin Proper, our work is shaped by an intimate understanding of florals, architecture, and interior design. Since the beginning of our partnership in 2019, we have designed and installed over 10,000 arrangements throughout the hotel’s spaces—each one considered, intentional, and site-specific.
Our approach is rooted in honoring the original design vision of interior designer and brand director Kelly Wearstler. Floral compositions are created to exist in conversation with the interiors, enhancing the space as it was conceived.
Every design is entirely bespoke and informed by seasonality, sustainability, and aesthetic cohesion with the surrounding room. We work primarily with what is at its peak and responsibly available, allowing natural beauty, material integrity, and timing to define the final expression for your event.

We curate visual inspiration, offering insight into what flowers will be available time of your event. You’ll see how the design will be thoughtfully implemented and receive a tailored quote for our services.

Our partnership is confirmed with a signed agreement and a 20% retainer, allowing the design process to begin with clarity and ease. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to your event.

During the week of your event, we’ll gather your vessels and source the best locally available blooms to create designs tailored specifically to the needs of your event.

We’ll coordinate closely with your sales representative at The Austin Proper, refining every detail to ensure a seamless setup on the day of your event and a smooth post-event breakdown.
Mirabeau Ballroom
A dramatic stairway installation of patchwork vintage rugs welcomes your guests to a unique dining space. The Mirabeau Ballroom sets the stage for an ambiance that is anything but ordinary. Forget your typical ballroom – this space is elegance with an edge. The space shifts effortlessly into The Quill Room, the hotel’s tucked-away lounge. Mirabeau offers generous dining configurations. Either high boys and cocktail tables, dining table center pieces, The Mirabeau Ballroom is perfect for an array of events, from weddings to corporate parties, and we have serviced it all !

The Quill ROOM
Tucked away a bit secretively on the second floor is the Proper’s well-appointed lounge room, The Quill Room. Styled with elegantly laid back lounges, vignettes, and cozy seating zones it has more of a masculine tone then the first floor spaces. We love to dressed it up with more stylized and interesting bud vases and as well as larger specialty coffee table designs and bar arrangements. We keep in tune with the quirky rich atmosphere of the space and ensure to complement and fit an array of event types. It gracefully transitions to stone terrace patio with a southwestern Shoal Creek and Texas Hill Country view.

The private dining room
For ultra luxury and specialty gatherings, the Peacock Private Dining Room is an oasis of design and top tier hospitality. The intimacy and opulence of the room provides an ideal setting for verdant flowers to compliment the family or plated style service. This room is home to one of our most coveted antique vases within the hotel. It can be quite playful and versatile with how we approach the floral style.

Morning Glory
Business lunches and cocktail hours come alive in the Moonlight space and terrace, which overlooks Austin’s lakeside greenscape. This room also shares a terrace and pre-function space with Morning Glory, Room 1. Down to the herringbone-pattern wood flooring, this well-appointed setting provides impeccable design by Kelly Wearstler, A/V capability, built in Apple TV and speakers, and the service of the Proper events team.

Moon light
Warmth radiates from the Moonlight room, offering an inspiring and inviting atmosphere for a variety of occasions. This room is outfitted with a bar, and shares a green terrace and pre-function space with its neighbor room, Moonlight. Morning Glory is best suited for intimate dinner occasions and professional meetings. Enliven your conversations by adding our florals with a selection of unique vessels curated in partnership with designer Kelly Wearstler.

Goldies
Meet-and-greets await just beyond the reception in the privacy of this intimate and eclectic cocktail bar, which houses some of our favorite floral designs as part of our weekly refresh service for the hotel. The feature bar highlights two of our specialty designs framed on either end, adding to the impact and visual interest of the unique backdrop, while each seating vignette comes dressed with a bud vase to complete the space.

La Piscina
Located on the 5th floor of the Austin Proper Hotel, La Piscina is a convivial poolside restaurant and bar serving Texas-inspired Mexican cuisine. The vibrant, open space overlooks the downtown Austin bustle as groups convene over family-style platters.
